I love your inky scribble monsters! I have similar unwinding strategies 😁💛I’ve been drawing monsters at night based on objects I’ve seen. A few examples, a lime deposit in the bathtub, the hinge inside my compost bin, and a dragon fruit!

I love a Royal Talens Art Creations Sketchbook for its smooth paper and affordability. The Ranger sketchbook is nice too, and takes a lot more watery paint. Leaving a review now! Also, that’s the most adorable swatch page I’ve ever seen!

The combo of "smooth" and "affordability" has me sold!

Left you a glowing review! I really, really enjoyed the book. I thought about it yesterday when I had some negative thoughts come up on a walk. Instead of pushing them away, I let them be there and thanked them showing up and teaching me something new. Like my own little scribbly shadow following me around! 😜

What’s your current sketchbook type? And do you like toothy paper or not?

It's the Nina Cosford sketchbook (https://www.ninacosford.com/shop/product/sketchbook/)! Not against toothy paper (usually have veered towards smooth though)

I love a moleskine sketchbook--smooth and lovely for colored pencils.
