#61: Like a birthday, but better

My book is HERE.

OMG! It’s today! After five years of planning and writing and drawing and waiting, my book is officially out in the world.

I’ve dreamt of this day for years — all the way back to when my stories had a lot of heart and no plot:

My first book, circa 1999. Safe to say I’ve gotten marginally better at character development.  

I never thought I’d be here, watching in real time as my book ends up on nightstands and bookshelves and picnic blankets. To imagine it in your hands feels surreal, like I’m floating a few inches above the ground. 

And even with my anxiety in high gear, I’m going to do my best to enjoy the ride.

This book started with me and ends with you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I can’t wait to hear what you think.
