Thanks for your patience with this newsletter. What a heavy time. I hope you are taking care of yourselves.
Yesterday I went for a walk in my neighborhood. The days have been getting shorter. I find myself missing autumn before it’s even ended — probably because winter in Seattle feels like a sheet of gray has been stretched across the city, and I want to soak up the colors before they fade.
And the colors, by the way, are great. So great, in fact, that they inspired the following characters:
I highly recommend taking your own walk and assigning personalities to the flowers and leaves of your neighborhood. Also recommend: the app Picture This, which helped me identify plant types (so if I got any wrong, blame big bad tech!).
