I just got home from a two week trip to Italy. In other words, I’m no longer under this umbrella:
Whether it’s a plane ride across the globe or an hour long drive, coming home from a trip tends to leave me feeling as if a dopamine vampire came and sucked all of my happiness straight from my neck.
That’s why, as I come off the high of two weeks of fresh tomatoes and Aperol spritzes and scoops of gelato, I figured it was the perfect time to do another episode of:
I will leave you with one of the happiest moments of the trip: the sunny afternoon I played in the hotel pool for hours. Inner child, this one’s for you!
See you next time!
PS: If you want more trip content, here’s a vid of my Italy sketchbook entries. Saluti!
I know that dopamine vampire feeling upon returning from a trip only too well. It never gets any easier, and I’ve not found a cure for it yet. Not even staying in bed for a few days eases it! That pool looks absolutely gorgeous, and the whole trip sounds delightful (one day of sickness aside!). Welcome back.
