Hey! It’s a new year! That’s 365 days of possibility! Of maybe-plans! Of routines and habits and problems from previous years that will pour over 2023 like batter falling into a cake pan!
But worry not: the batter is not set. You can add sprinkles. You can throw in cinnamon or sugar or salt. You can even make a buttercream frosting to top it (and maybe even dye it hot pink). This half-baked (ha) metaphor is all to say: a new year is really just a continuation of the days you’ve already lived. There are things you’ll bring in from the past, and things you’ll add each day. Ah, life! Annoyingly, fabulously, stunningly predictable and unpredictable at the same time.
To that end, here is a comic I revamped from last year about going into a new year. Similar sentiments, new color palette. Sprinkles, if you will!
