My husband and I have been married for one year today! I would do bad, bad things to go back to our wedding day and relive the party.

Since time travel is not an option, I thought it would be fun to revisit everything I made for the big day. Though I’m not a classic DIY gal (I get frustrated by hot glue guns and multi-step instruction manuals), I can draw! So draw I did, from the invitations to the coasters. With the help of my mom (a Photoshop aficionado), we brought the designs to life.
SAVE THE DATES
Because we got married in a glasshouse filled with poppy red and bright orange glass flowers, the color palette was all but decided for us. My mom picked the typeface and text placement, and I illustrated everything else (including my heart characters, which became a motif throughout the additional decor).
INVITATIONS
Yes, wavy edges are trendy as hell, but I think they added such whimsy and playfulness to our invites.
Disclaimer: I only have the sample set that the printing company sent me in my possession, so the die cut on the invites below are wacky:
COASTERS
I mean, these are just FUN (and made a great souvenir—some guests still have and use them today).

WELCOME SIGNAGE
This sign stood first at the ceremony entrance and later by the dance floor. I love that it automatically introduced ~the vibe~ of the day (and yes, more wavy edges. I couldn’t be stopped).
NAME CARDS AND TATTOOS
On the dinner name cards, we used three different heart characters to indicate which meal guests ordered.
As for the tattoos, well. My husband really wanted them to be part of the reception. I was kind of like, ugh, will anyone use them? The answer was YES, YES THEY WILL. Everyone was covered in pink and blue hearts by the end of the night.
GUEST BOOK + GIFT SIGNAGE
We put these together in Canva. The internet is a grand, grand place!
THANK YOU CARDS
Inspired by the back of the larger wedding invite, I carried the polaroid design into the thank you note design, highlighting one of my favorite photos from the evening.
I didn’t make either of the next two items, but they are both really fun, so here you go:
VOW BOOK
I solicited the help of my mom’s friend Catherine and her Cricut machine for the vow booklet of my dreams. I really wanted to play on the heart vibe:
JACKETS
I will shout Lucas Oakley’s name to the rooftops every chance I get—he designed these custom jackets for us, rhinestones and all. I wore mine to a concert the other night—it gets COMPLIMENTS, baby.
Thanks for reading! Highly recommend love and parties and making them your own.
