Since spring’s arrival, I’ve been going on what I call “perfume walks.” The air in my neighborhood is sweet with magnolia blossoms and honeysuckles, as if nature herself dropped the hottest new scent of the season.
Spring is my favorite season! The fragrances in the air, the uplifting birdsong and other nature noises, and seeing the colorful flowers popping up everywhere 🥰 what you made here really captures the essence of this time of the year and the beauty in taking it slow and enjoying every moment.
Last spring, the peer mentor for my first-year seminar had my students go outside and do a "sound walk" (like what Haley describes here) and then come back to the class and write or draw what they heard, and it was so lovely!
I am the neighbor who leaves the skeleton in the yard all year long! 😂 we got Gloria in the fall and she’s been on our front porch since. She’s currently donning bunny ears, nose and teeth, and a bow tie.

Thank you! I totally agree :)

I made a Trader Joe’s bouquet last week and she’s finally drooping… time to refresh!
