Today I am 31!
In a lot of ways, this age feels like a non-event.
And when I think about what I want for this year, a lot bleeds over from my hopes for thirty.
But this year, I want to practice a little… selfishness. Or rather, the ability to ask for what I want without shame or insecurity.
This is not something that comes naturally to me.
But that’s exactly why it’s a good goal.
So in the spirit of this new me, here are some things I want without apology.
If you’ve read my book, I ask that you leave a review. They help SO MUCH. (Especially on Amazon and Goodreads. I know. But also Storygraph! Or wherever you like to buy your books!).
If you read this newsletter, I ask that you heart the editions you enjoy (it lets me know what is resonating and helps other readers find my work — classic algorithm!).
If you look forward to seeing more of my work, supporting it is the most incredible and meaningful gift. Truly.
With that said, I’m offering 25% off annual subscriptions (aka $37.50 for a whole year rather than $50!). This offer is available through July 1st, 2024:
I’m also asking myself for something: to consider what I really want for my life rather than what I feel like I should want for it.

And finally, I hope to remember that growing older is the ultimate gift.
Here’s to 31. Thank you for reading (today and always).
I hope that you're able to be yourself in a way that feels most harmonious to you at your 31 and for the rest of your life.
Happiest birthday! Your newsletters brighten up my inbox ❤️
